Lucid Air Charging Time

A 2027 Lucid Air takes about 10 hours to charge from empty to full on a 240-volt Level 2 charger, according to its EPA test, and 10 to 13 hours across the 2027 trims. On a standard 120-volt outlet it takes about 75 hours. A full charge puts about 108.6 kWh through the plug for 431 miles of range.

Cost to charge a Lucid Air

A full charge from empty draws about 108.6 kWh from the wall. At 18 cents per kWh it costs about $19.55, and a 20% to 80% top-up about $11.73. The EPA rates the Air Touring AWD with 19 inch wheels at 25.2 kWh per 100 miles, which works out to 4.5 cents a mile. The US average home rate was 18.16 cents per kWh in August 2026 (EIA); the EV charging cost calculator takes your own rate.

Lucid Air fast charging

DC fast charging bypasses the car's onboard charger and is far quicker, but the speed depends on each model's charging curve, which slows as the battery fills. That's why fast-charge times are quoted from 10% to 80%. The EPA doesn't test DC charging, so check Lucid's quoted figure for the Air. The EV charging curve guide explains why it slows.
