How long does a Tesla take to charge?
It depends on the model, how much you add and the charger. As a guide, putting 50 kWh from the wall into a 75 kWh battery, a 20% to 80% charge, takes 6 hours 31 minutes on a 32 amp home charger and about 34.7 hours on a 120 volt outlet. A Supercharger is far faster.
Superchargers are Tesla's DC fast chargers, and the Department of Energy puts DC fast charging at about 100 to 200+ miles of range per 30 minutes. Fast charging slows as the battery fills, so 80% to 100% takes much longer per mile than the first part of the session.
For model figures, see the Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3 pages, which show the EPA 240 volt full charge time. The EV charging time calculator handles any start and end percentage.
